Top Yard School of Boxing was built to give Peterborough a disciplined, positive place to train, grow and belong.
Founded by brothers Bilal and Hamad Javed, the England Boxing-affiliated club works in partnership with the Amir Khan Academy. Its new Queensgate hub brings quality coaching, mentorship and opportunity into the city centre — from a first pair of gloves to national-level competition.



A world-class name with deep local roots.
Founded by two-time world champion and Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan, the Amir Khan Foundation says its AK Academy programme has supported boxing, fitness and mentoring opportunities for young people in Bolton, Peterborough and Islamabad.
In Peterborough, the academy works in partnership with Top Yard School of Boxing from the Queensgate hub. Opened in 2025, it combines Amir Khan’s championship legacy with trusted local coaching—creating a safe place for young people to train, build confidence and aim higher.
